Serie A Tickets: Leaders Juventus Face Tough Away Days at Inter & Napoli
This season’s Serie A campaign has saw a number of different teams fighting for dominance, as perennial challengers Inter and Milan have started slowly. Juventus sit on top of the pile after seven games, but their newfound confidence will be tested with tricky away fixtures in Milan and Naples.
Inter v Juventus
Two of the biggest clubs in Italian football, one on the way up and one seemingly on the way down meet at the San Siro on Saturday 29th October. Antonio Conte has instilled more organisation and discipline in the visiting side from Turin, whilst summer spending has saw a raft of new players join the Old Lady. Juventus are still not the finished article, but at the time of writing are unbeaten and have the likes of Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio playing well in their midfield.
Inter have fallen from grace, and replaced Gian Piero Gasperini with Claudio Ranieri five games into the season. The fixture will be one Ranieri is keen to win, especially given the fact that he used to be in charge of Juventus. Wesley Sneijder is back from injury and playing in his preferred playmaker role, but Inter must sort out their dilapidating back-line if they are to challenge for honours this season.

Napoli v Juventus
Antonio Conte’s men will not be given much time to rest after the Inter match, as they travel to take on highly-fancied Napoli on Sunday 6th November. Walter Mazzarri’s side finished third last term, and many are tipping the San Paolo outfit as a potential Scudetto winner this season. The home side have the dangerous attacking trio of Edinson Cavani, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Martin Hamsik in their ranks, who have the ability to make it a dark day for Juventus.
Due to the offensive nature of Napoli’s play, Juventus will have to defend well if they are to get anything from the game. Despite being unbeaten, Conte’s men have let sloppy goals in at times this campaign, and rely heavily on Italy international defender Giorgio Chiellini.
Roma v Milan
Title holders Milan have started the season in inconsistent fashion, and will face a difficult Serie A fixture as they travel to to the Stadio Olimpico to take on Roma on Saturday 29th October. Massimiliano Allegri’s men are in danger of losing touch with the early pacesetters, and will look to put a marker down in the nation’s capital. Alexandre Pato is still suffering from injury, but Robinho is back to playing somewhere near his best.
Roma have also started slowly, with new coach Luis Enrique still finding his feet in Italy. The side been unavailable for a number of games through injury. The side’s promising youngsters such as Bojan Krkic and Erik Lamela are yet to start firing, but will look forward to taking on the champions.
