There has been increasing speculation recently that AC Milan are set to be bought over with Rezart Taci said be front of the queue with a 700 million euro offer however the club deny theya re looking to sell the club.

The recent poor form of the team coupled with the 750 million euro fine that AC Milans parent company recently had imposed on them has led to rumours that Berlusconi will look to sell his share to help offset the fine.  However, Fininvest deny they are even considering offloading their 100 per cent stake in the Serie A giants.

“In relation to the repeated indiscretions in the press, Fininvest see themselves forced once again to deny, in the most peremptory and absolute way, that there exists any talk of sale, even partial, of their shares in AC Milan,” read a statement on acmilan.com.

Taci revealed earlier in the day in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport that he has talked to Berlusconi. Despite the Italian Prime Minister telling him the club was not for sale, the Albanian oil magnate is confident that is not the end of the matter.

“I have the 700million to buy Milan,” said Taci.

“And I intend to strengthen them.

“I have already talked about it with Berlusconi. He told me he didn’t intend to sell, but I know that if I came into the matter he would take my offer into consideration.

“The money wouldn’t be a problem. My company is used to taking on relevant commitments and seeing them through to the end.”

A lot of Milan fans are said to be caught in two minds about the rumoured takeover with many believing that the fortunes of the club will be turned around by current owners and others believing that there is need for a change in the management of the club as well as as a change in playing staff.

Only time will tell if Milan will be bought over with the start of the year the most likely time that more news would be released.

I hope we dont start going the english way by having all foreign investors, id prefer if we used the german example and sort our own problems out by sorting out stadia and proper marketing of clubs and the league.

I couldnt imagine Italian football without some of the crazy families involved such Moratti, Berlusconi, Sensi, Gaucci, Preziosi and many others.
